Hello,
I am building a brand new RDS 2016 environment with SolidCP. I have the following setup:

  • CS-BS01 (broker)
  • CS-WA01 (gateway/web access)
  • CS-MGT01 (NPS, Licensing server)
  • CS-TS01 (Session host)
  • CS-TS01 (Session host)

I have an SSL certificate which matches external and internal FQDN.
Now I need to know how where I have to install "Remote Desktop Services" and how to add RDS servers to the list.
Because I have now added Remote Desktop Services to CS-TS01, and try to add RDS server "CS-TS01" which result in an error it seems I am doing something wrong.
And what is a RDS Controller?
Kind regards,
Umit Durmus

Hello,

You will want the SolidCP Server on CS-WA01 and the provider added for this server inside your SolidCP.

The RDS Controller is the Provider which will run the cluster. Its main objective is for when people have multiple domains in the same SolidCP and want to use different RDS servers.

Thanks,

Hello,

Looking at the error there was an issue when connecting to cs-ts01. Can you make sure that the machine is joined to the domain and that the SolidCP Server user in the domain and is part of the domains admin group?

Kind Regards,
