With the ms dns 2012+ module i am not having any issues creating your example dns on our windows 2016 servers.

Only when i use the old wmi module it won't add correctly.

Have you always been using the 2012+ module or did you recently change to it? (if you recently changed to it: make sure that old hosting spaces do not automatically switch to the new provider, they will keep the old settings and using the old provider).
