Once 1.2.X comes out, I will be redoing my environment moving from 2008 R2 to 2016. I have a dozen or so web servers with supporting servers like mail, stats, databases both MS and MY, and DNS. My question should I continue to use Active Directory is it really needed? Oh each web server runs FTP too.

What is the recommend/best practices way to do this install.

By redoing my environment I will be starting a fresh SolidCP database and moving clients over one by one and their accompanying services.

Thanks

Hello,

This is mostly due to your preference but some services such as Exchange, Sharepoint & Cloud services all require AD.

Using AD can make moving services like Websites alot quicker as you dont need to remake the users and just migrate the webservers config.

Kind Regards,

Thank you for the response, since shifting services between servers will happen, I'm believe I will go with a AD setup.
