I changed it to your port, 8053. Over HTTP in Chrome, it still works the same; as you see above in the screen shot.

Did you look at the errors above?

  • ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range.
  • FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

It does seem like the API in v6 may have changed and SCP is not actually compatible?

It is also possible it is user error on my part, but I've been doing this for years and have comparable system setups that work using SimpleDns Plus v5.2.

How can I get this resolved? We rely heavily on SCP and if it has become incompatible with SimpleDns Plus (though your docs say v6 works) we have a lot of work ahead adjusting our hosting solutions. The switch to a different piece of DNS software is a significant amount of work/effort.

I have this setup on a new server, standalone with no client work on there yet. I would be willing to have someone test and investigate by getting on the server if we could set that up securely?

If that is not an option can you please describe any ideas you might have as to how to approach debugging this so I can produce more details that would help get this fixed?

Am I wrong in assuming this will get fixed and SCP/Fuse will continue to support SimpleDns Plus?

Thank you in advance - Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,

Sorry for the lack of updates we don't have a copy of SimpleDNS 6 which i can test with and currently waiting to hear back from SimpleDNS if its possible to get a copy.

If you do require quicker support you can raise a ticket for paid premium support which means we can login to your servers to look at the issue in more detail.

Regards,

Trevor
