@ershadmanesh You can restore the database in either case, however without the enterprise crypto key all the passwords known by the panel won't work and needs to be reset.

As far as updating: always backup the database first (or atleast i always do) for the rest use the powershell update script (it's most accurate/ safe for updating) If you do it manually or via the installer always make sure you stop the SolidCP Scheduler via the windows services mmc.
