That is what i described exactly on my initial post. Solution is to upgrade Solidcp to latest version

@pmour Im on the latest version available and the problem remains the same. The workaround with the DLLs resolves it.

I have installed  CU15 on another server in production and found no issues after the install completed. SolidCP loaded with no errors... I dont see a problem with making the changes to the latest dlls but it doesnt look like it should be a issue.

Maybe its another update like if you did OS updates at the same time?

Regards,

Trevor

@trobinson There were also Windows updates following as part of a standard patch cycle, so it's possible.

Windows updates applied were 2025-03 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2019 (KB5053596) and 2025-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.7.2 and 4.8 for Windows Server 2019 (KB5050182)

just an update on my case

tried reapplying the ver 1.5.1 and of course there was  the same problem.

Added the 3 new DLLs from exchange folder as have been described (or deleted alltogether from solidcp folder, same thing) and there are still problems

For example trying to edit the password policy there is this error

Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.

Stack Trace: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Exception: Error executing 'UPDATE_PASSWORD_SETTINGS' task on '' ORGANIZATION ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message:
--

Server Error in '/' Application.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Bcl.AsyncInterfaces' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

Ok an update that MADE IT WORK:

The change or deletion of the 3 Dlls must be done on TWO places

C:\SolidCP\Enterprise Server\bin

AND

C:\SolidCP\Server asp.net v4.5\bin
