Hi Everyone,

If I try to configure the mailbox ( mail-domain and mailbox created through SolidCP) in outlook then it shows me error while opening outlook that name does not match with addressbook etc.  and If I clicks on OK then its shows me dialog box which does not have correct values of Exchange server.

Have anybody faced this kind of issue?

Hello,

First it's good to note that SolidCP doesn't actually have anything to do with autodiscover / exchange connectivity (SolidCP only sets up mailboxes etc within exchange but doesn't actually configure the exchange server).

That being said:

Server and Mailbox in the manual setup should always show their GUID's (it's found under settings --> Advanced settings of each mailbox). they do not work with their normal names since exchange 2013 and up.

For your actual issue:

  1. Are you trying to add a different exchange mailbox to an outlook that already has an exchange mailbox setup? (Outlook has issues with multiple GAL's).
  2. Did you have autodiscover setup? ( SRV: _autodiscover._tcp.yourdomain.com port 443 etc, or HTTP Redirect which means https://autodiscover.yourdomain.com times out only http responds)

Regards,

Marco

Yes, you are right. I have two mailboxes linked with two separate domains. I have configured the one mailbox which i have created manually in Exchage with my default domain.

However, I have created another my separate mail-domain along with mailbox through SolidCP. If I try to configure that second email address then I get this issue.

Is there something related to outlook itself?

Hello,

This is related to how outlook will form the connection to Exchange. You cannot have multiple mailbox in different Hosted Orgs due to the seperation between the domains.

You will either need to locate the domains in the same hosted org or look to use a alternative connections (IMAP/POP3) for these addional mailbox's.

Kind Regards,
