Hello,

Can you check your php page code against a test page such as https://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mysql_connect.asp

Can you confirm you can telnet to port 3306?

Thanks,

Trevor

So i did some testing last night, I removed solidcp and tested out MySQL and it works no problem but as soon as I install solidcp and add the service the php side of things stop working and says its unable to connect to the server. Any ideas what may be causing this as iv tried MySQL 8 and solidcp show no settings for that version but MySQL 6 shows settings but still does not work for some reason.

Hello,

Can you please explain how SolidCP does not show settings for MySQL 8? It should offer the usual settings like username, password, secure connection.

Thanks,

Sorry for the late reply, When you select the drop down after activating the service it displays a blank box with no settings unlike MySQL 5 does. even in the user area, the section does not appear.

Hello,

Can you please try reapply the SQL update and let us know if it reports any errors?

You can find the latest update_db.sql in http://installer.solidcp.com/Files/stable/Manual-Update.zip

Thanks,

Trevor
