Hi,
I am running solidcp 1.1.2(migrated from websitepanel a while ago) and want to upgrade to the current verison. I have been reading and checking but I am kind of lost now. I only have 1 server, everything is still in c:websitepanel directory.
What is now 'the way' to easily upgrade. I tried the solidcp installer but for example with server and enterprise server it complaints that I already have something running on port 9002 and 9003 which is correct because that is the current version. So is this not suitable for upgrading ? Or do I encouter problems because I still have directory name like websitepane in stead of solidcp.
So.. what is de best and simpel future proof way to upgrade 😉
thx
Michel
Hello,
It sounds like you tried the solidcp installer where no existing installation has been made with it.
For this you will need to manually add the information to the installer config.
An example of an populated installer.config can be found here:
http://installer.solidcp.com/Files/stable/Tools/SolidCP.Installer.exe.zip
You would need to configure it's values following the web.configs of the projects to make it work 100%.
An alternative way is to just use the automatic updater (powershell script) found here: http://installer.solidcp.com/Files/stable/Tools/SolidCP-Auto-Upgrade-Tool-1.6.zip
It should have no problem with the file locations.

Marco
Thx Marco, I think this points me in the right direction! I am gonna give it a try this weekend. Thx!!!
