Without creating a new question, have you considered hosting the documentation on Github to support pull requests?

I would recommend it:  An organization named "solidcp" and a repo named "docs"

ie, https://github.com/solidcp/docs/

unfortunatly that user and organization is not in our control.

we contacted github due to copyright/ tm violations but they simply said theres nothing they can do as per there policies.

so we are not on github, instead we run it over our own gitlab server.

That's unfortunate.  Probably could get a bit more traction with more people complaining.  I will certainly complain about it to github.

I'm signed into the gitlab instance which is cool.  Just thinking about having the large userbase of github people available to make the doc process as easy as possible... lol.

Have you considered a slight variation to org name, like Real_SolidCP or something?

mhm.
the user base aswell as easier to view/ help the project is a benefit of github.
i was actually surprised they refuse to help with this issue since msg's in our name has been made, aswell as distributed our source at some point.

due to that i also didnt quite consider to take an alternative name, as personally it will just be confusing for people, not to mention the attitude of github allowing to impersonate projects/ organizations is quite off putting.
