hi I cant install my wordpress and write error – ApplicationInstallationError
– Failure: The MySQL Connector for .Net is required in order to perform this operation. Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed. and the MySQl.net installed but he write not installed pls send me all problems and solutions about installing wordpress .
Did you have the mysql asp.net connector installed on the server(s) in question?
Without it SolidCP can’t communicate with mysql.
It might also be good to check if you can create mysql db’s from within SolidCP without issues, if so then Web Deploy is most likely looking for a specific mysql asp.net connector version which you can disable in the IIS Settings inside SolidCP “Always ignore dependencies”.
hi how I can install asp.net connector pls more details with pictures
and how to access to iss settings iam search it inside solidcp and I cant find it pls more details.
You can install the MySQL Connector/NET from https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/
You can install MySQL directly from https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/, but for me, it’s quite difficult to ix these type of issue that’s why I am using Managed WordPress hosting service by Cloudways, installation process took some minutes and done without any error.
Would you be able to confirm for me that you only see this error on WordPress install?
I did try install MediaWiki on our test server and it appeared to work fine.
When I want install Wodpress from Web Gallery, I get this error:
We apologize for the inconvenience but the application download has been failed. Please contact your service provider to correct the issue.
I have set this configuration:
Main feed URL:
Add Custom Feed:
I’m afraid with the correct urls it most likely changed urls again or wordpress is simply not maintaining web deploy feeds. ( i am not aware of any new deploy feeds tho).
SolidCP does little more then using web deploy to do everything for the app gallery.
It would maybe be intresting to start our own (minimum) feed with most popular things such as wp / joomla / drupal so this feature is a bit more stable, however currently we have not made any such feed.
You can do that by making your own Web Deploy feed, then just add it as a custom feed in SolidCP
