I have a server already containing more than 50 websites and 30 databases, I found out about SolidCP yesterday and I think it will be nice to have all these controlled from the web panel rather than from inside the server manually.

Is there a way to import all those websites/ databases from IIS and SQL server?

If no, can I do it manually? I don't mind to do it manually but I don't know how.

Thanks.

Hello,

Yes this is possible.

First make sure SolidCP is setup and working 100% (so make a test domain/site, make sure it all works).

Once it works the routine will go as followed:

  1. Create a SolidCP User
  2. Assign a hosting plan (create hosting space)
  3. Go to Space statistics --> bottom right "Import Resources" (only as serveradmin)

I normally import domains before web, but you can try to do them both at once.

Basically repeat these steps per customer (user).

Do note that on import of websites it will try to create the site the solidcp way, which means assign the correct user and application pools following settings, in some cases this also means that the site permissions might be a bit off so please pay attention to that.

Regards,

Marco
