When we create a new VPS (W2k12R2) we cannot specify the network connection, we get the following message: The pool of available external IP addresses is empty. All IP addresses allocated to the current hosting space are assigned to existing virtual servers. More external IP addresses could be allocated by the host.
We got 1 NIC in use, and we would like to use that nic for all comunication, so Internet, Data (too and from the AD server / File servers), what would be the best use in this scenario?
Hello,
The error you are getting is due to no external IPs set in Configuration -> IP Addresses.
The NICs are dependent on how your network is set-up. If you need multiple NICs then use the External and Management (These will also need IPs assigned).
If you want just one NIC on each VM then use the External one.

Well even with IP's configured under Config -> IP adresses it will still give the same error, am i doing something wrong?

Hey,
I forgot to mention you need to assign a IP to the user also.
You will need to do this by loading the user then selecting VPS -> External Network (And other if you have setup) and select Allocate button.
