i have a website Calles for example: solid.com which i have installed free SSL certificate.
lets say that we want to add another domain name for this website, then in IIS i add a new binding: cp.solid.com, and i would like to install SSL certificate on this new name.
can you please explain me how can i install SSL certificate on a name that has no website in solidcp?

Hello,
If a binding has been added outside of SolidCP then it most likely wont be added to any LE certificate issued by SolidCP. If the domain is added as a website pointer then it should be issued on any new LE certificate. You may need to delete it first and reissue a new one.

i have done what you wrote and i cannot see the new pointer site on the net.
i think that i am missing dns records.
let me explain you what i am doing,
i have a new site digid.co.il for landing page.
this site will let customers the option to create and maintain landing pages.
each customer has already a website somewhere on the net with an existing domain.
i would like to be able to add a sub domain like: lp.abc.com which i do not maintain DNS for this domain in solid cp.
i have added in the place where we can update domain DNS records an A record lp.abc.com to the ip address of digid.co.il
the landing page is work properly with ssl on the address digid.co.il/page-name
but now i need to define a pointer for lp.abc.com to digid.co.il.
do i need to do in solidcp DNS configuration for this pointer?
i also see that i cannot add a pointer which the domain name is not added in the domains list.
please advice what is the best way to configure this in solidcp
