Hey everyone, we have setup SCP v1.4 as per the 5 minute setup, and are getting this message:

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHeaderException: Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security.SecurityFault: Message did not meet security requirements.

I only posted a tiny bit as I didn't want to inundate folks with all the gory details. I can provide more if needed.

When we initially setup this test server, we had issues logging in and connecting to mssql-express. We had a Dollar Sign ($) as part of the password. That caused all kinds of issues, so we reran the Enterprise Setup and reset the password as well as out mssql SA pswd. Now we can actually connect to mssql.

We have confirmed all of our Security Settings, Password complexity etc. and this exact setup worked fine with v1.3.0. IN other words, our steps are identical. We've checked every thing we can think of, checked the forum etc., almost everything points us back to the 5 minute setup - "our setup is exactly as documented" in that procedure and as stated - the same as we've used with 1.3.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

n.b.; we had this error in the setup log as well:

[4/15/18 4:03:24 PM] ERROR: Authentication error
System.InvalidOperationException: Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message: and more below this...

Hello,

Can you please try open up IIS Management in the CAS Server and do the following:

  1. Click on the SolidCP Server site, go to authentication --> select Windows --> Click disable
  2. Go back to the main SolidCP Server site, go to Machine Key --> click generate, and click apply.
  3. Go back to thee main SolidCP Server site, click bindings.. Set the appropriate bindings so the SolidCP Portal can connect to it (if possible keep it with local IP's, without external access).
  4. Go to Application pools --> select the SolidCP Server application pool --> Advanced settings --> Make sure Start mode is set to AlwaysRunning
  5. Set Idle-timeout (minutes) from 20 to 0
  6. Set Regular time interval (minutes) from 1740 to 0
  7. Click OK

Thanks,

Trevor
