Hi,

Please advise me on this as I am now confused regarding this. A while back I was advised that when creating a reseller that rather than creating the resellers domains under the reseller account, that we should create a user and then put the resellers own domains under that account. This I cant recall why it was told to us to do it this way. However if you do this then the reseller does not get a cp url in the message to login with. This I know could be edited in the email template, but if the user doesnt have a domain, it doesnt put the username or password in the mail either.

So I guess what I am asking is :

1) Do I add the resellers domains to the reseller account itself or do I setup a sub account for these domains ?

2) If the sub account, then how do we bypass the issue with no domain being there and thus no details ?

Hello,

It is normally best to make sure all domains are created in user and not reseller accounts. The reseller accounts are designed to create users and not hosting packages.

I am not fully sure how you mean no domain being present? Can you provide a screen with the differences you are seeing?

Kind Regards,

if you add a reseller it asks you to provide a domain name to use when creating the hosting space, if you provide one it creates the domain under the reseller account which you say we shouldnt do.

However if you dont create the system resources when adding the hosting space, it doesnt add the domain under the reseller account, but the the hosting space summary email then doesnt give you a url, username or password for the reseller account in the mail.
