Hi,

I am running 2.4, which has been upgraded over the years from DNP, to WSP and then finally to SolidCP a year or so ago. My enterprise server is installed on Windows Server 2016 with SQL Server 2016. My hosting servers are running a mix of everything from Server 2008 R2 to Server 2016.

When trying to use the space backup feature, I am getting mixed results but never getting a good backup.

Sometimes I get an .scpak file in the location I specify but the zip inside of it that is supposed to contain the space files is empty. The log shows this error when this happens:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at SolidCP.EnterpriseServer.OperatingSystemController.BackupItem(String tempFolder, XmlWriter writer, ServiceProviderItem item, ResourceGroupInfo group)
at SolidCP.EnterpriseServer.BackupController.BackupItem(String tempFolder, XmlWriter writer, ServiceProviderItem item, ResourceGroupInfo group, IBackupController controller)

Other times, I don't get an .scpak file at all. The log shows the above error AND this additional error:

Can't zip backed up files
The process cannot access the file 'D:HostingBackupsjdadmin_636589751662915632SpaceFiles_6538_636589751663071318.zip' because it is being used by another process.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.File.InternalDelete(String path, Boolean checkHost)
at SolidCP.EnterpriseServer.BackupController.BackupInternal(String taskId, Int32 userId, Int32 packageId, Int32 serviceId, Int32 serverId, String backupFileName, Int32 storePackageId, String storePackageFolder, String storeServerFolder, Boolean deleteTempBackup)

Hello,

For both errors can you try run it again and report back if any errors are in the Windows EventLog? This may give us more detail to be able to try pinpoint the issue.

Thanks,
