Are we still encouraged to use the .msi installer or the Automatic update script?

I've just upgraded the installer using the download on the site and now when i run the installer it acts like a new setup. How do i run just the upgrade through the installer as normal?

You are best to upgrading using the powershell script as shown at https://solidcp.com/kb/update/solidcp-update-script-powershell/ .
