Hey guys,
Today I noticed I was running Solid CP installer version 1.1.3 which i noticed on your website we are now at 1.3
I went and downloaded the 1.3 installer since the "check for updates" did not work and would not auto upgrade.
after I installed the 1.3 installer, all my components (server, enterprise, portal) are not being detected for upgrade.
When i go to try to install the components, it seems like it is going through a new installation.
I did not go through the components fearing that I will loose all my settings and setups.
How do I get the installer to detect the previously installed component version of 1.1.3 so that it will auto upgrade to 1.3
Thanks,
Matt.
Hello,
You would need to rebuild the config file for the installer.
You can find a copy of the config file at http://installer.solidcp.com/Files/stable/Tools/SolidCP.Installer.exe.zip.
There are other manuals to do this (including an powershell script) found at https://solidcp.com/kb/update/.
Kind Regards,
Trevor Robinson
Hi Trevor,
Thank you for your reply.
I am a bit of a novice when it comes to your scripts.
I downloaded the config file but i am not sure what to do with it.
i am not sure how to properly rebuild the config file for the installer.
I saw the other link with the manual way to update but I am not sure which is proper.
Thanks,
Matt.
