How do we use it(data folder)?
He is asking the relationship of the names in solidcp to the physical folders. According to me the data folder, Is used to save backups etc in, well that is what we are going to use if for, I suppose you could call it backup then. It is also possible to use this for secure folders that you dont want in the wwwroot folder for system processes like whmcs templates, downloads etc that you can redirect to a folder other than the wwwroot..

@TechGuy is correct in its use. Its for things on a website which you dont want to make public. This incudes:
- templates*
- Downloads*
- Access databases
- Backups
*These applications need to support putting the folder outside of www.
