the WHMCS module has the same version as SolidCP to keep the same release structure.
But so far there were no changes to the API in SolidCP 1.1.0 which could affect the module. Therefore it is compatible also with previous SolidCP versions. It was developed and tested also on SolidCP 1.0.4.
if there will be any changes to SolidCP in the future, which makes a module incompatible with previous SolidCP versions, then the module will check the version and use older API with previous versions and newer API with upcoming versions. But right now there are no plans for changing the API totally.
Because this module was almost built from scratch, it will be easier in the future to implement more and more new features.
Please note: if you’ve used an other port for enterprise server than 9002 (default), you must set it manually in Products > Servers in the admin area. The other changes will be made with the new migration wizard.
I’ve been unable to install WHMCS successfully on Windows Server 2016. It’s failing to connect to the licence server, and one of their KB articles suggests it can be solved by upgrading to PHP7. I already had to downgrade to PHP5 because the ioncube installer said it doesn’t support PHP7.
So how on earth are you guys using WHMCS??
Ioncube loader version 6.0.1 added support for PHP7 as you can see from the ioncube blogpost at http://blog.ioncube.com/2016/09/15/php-7-ioncube-loaders/
The latest version of ioncube is 6.1.0.
Do note that WHMCS is not supported on Windows servers: http://docs.whmcs.com/System_Requirements
