Hi,

Can a re-seller be assigned custom dns server details so his customers, domains get assigned the custom dns server names and not ours ?

Hello,

This is not possible at the moment. I have added it as a suggestion to our tracker.

Is there a particular provider you would like to see this in?

Kind Regards,

We currently use msdns and simpledns, but it would be good to be able to add custom nameservers into the resellers customers dns zones when they get added. Im sure the main reseller domain dns records to add A records is simple enough for a reseller, but the actual dns zone of the customer just needs to be set to those custom dns names.

Maybe just put an overide, if a resellers dns server names are unpopulated then use the main servers dns names, else use the cutom ones.

Hello,

Just to double check: you just want the ns records to be ns1.mycustomerdomain.com instead of ns1.mydomain.com right?

as thats possible.

You can go to the reseller --> under "Hosting Spaces" select the reseller space you want to set it under --> then on the right side you will see "Name Servers"

click it and select override host settings --> then simply add name servers.

Do note they will need to be able to look up for example ns1.myResellerdomain.com --> should have an A record under myResellerdomain.com

Regards,

Marco

Hi Sorry for the long gap, yes this is exactly what I was looking for, edit the re sellers dns server names and their clients get the dns server names assigned as their domains.
