Migration from WebsitePanel to SolidCP

I have been using WebsitePanel 2.1 for some years, but now find that some of the features are no longer working. I therefore want to upgrade to a supported control panel and have come across SolidCP, which seems an ideal choice as it offers an upgrade path. I have found both sets of migration instructions, manual or PowerShell.

This is probably a daft question, but as a newcomer to SolidCP I hope I will be forgiven for asking it – do I need to run the SolidCP installer before (or even after) following the migration instructions? Or are the migration instructions sufficient on their own?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in our response. You are not required to have the installer before starting the use the guides on the migration to SolidCP. They do detail all steps required for a successful migration.

Kind Regards,

Trevor

The problem is to change the password of the serveradmin user when you cannot log in.

From the installer you can change it, there is another way to change the password of the serveradmin user

Not really.

However you can re-create the installer config by collecting the Enterprise web.config values and using it into the SolidCP Installer.config

An example config of the installer can be downloaded here: http://installer.solidcp.com/Files/stable/Tools/SolidCP.Installer.exe.zip
