Our web gallery has just stopped working after no issues for years. Trying to work out why. Settings as per https://solidcp.com/kb/configuration/web-app-gallery-setup/

Stepping through code seems to be receiving the xml and parsing it but then deciding there is nothing useful.

Any pointers appreciated.

Hello,

It does appear to be working for us but i do appear to have it in a slightly different order:

firefox Uf6XPTP6Pz

Would you try them like that and let us know if it works or not?

Regards,

Trevor

Thanks for the suggestion Trevor but that made no difference

If we just have just the main url in we do get some items but as soon as we add custom feeds it stops working

The XML feeds are accessible directly on the server so not being blocked

We have the same issue. Only one feed works and that one only contains around 40 apps.

We have followed the the guide still the the same result. We are running Windows server 2016. Dose anyone have any ide's on how to resolve this?

@gflex can you post the feed that works? We have the same issue but strangely enough our old 2008 servers are not affected on the different plan but the 2016's are. I would assume if the feed is from the same place all would be broken.

Thanks

@glex we have ended up removing Web App Gallery. It was really only used for WordPress and as we have moved our WordPress hosting to Linux due to uncertainties with PHP on Windows it was not really required.

WordPress doesn't currently seem to be in the XML feeds if you do a text search. There are various recent posts on the net about it being missing. Not sure why or whether it is just temporary or permanent.

All the best.

Hello,

We have been looking into this and not been able to come up with the correct URLs and get an XML error.

From looking at WebPI there have been no updates to the apps since 2016 from the official feeds and Wordpress version is v4.5.2 (release 18th May 2016) while their latest version is 5.7.2 and there have been a number of security issues with earlier versions.

I think at this point you are best to disable WebPI unless you have a custom feed which has the latest packages.

Currently we are not aware of an alternative but if anybody has suggestions please feel free to let us know.

Regards,

Trevor

When we use the guide https://solidcp.com/kb/configuration/web-app-gallery-setup/ Then the list is empty.

When I use just the default one and no customs one we only have 40 apps.

"unless you have a custom feed which has the latest packages." Do you have a custom URL that is working?

@gflex Hello, Unfortunatly Microsoft adjusted it's URL's again where the new url appears to be broken and not functioning.

We have currently not found any working URL (and most apps date back from 2016).

We are currently considering to make our own XML feed however have not reached a descision on this just yet. (due to the complexity of keeping all software up2date constantly).

Regards,

Marco
